Many of the buildings contain inner second-patios, true hidden gems that fill the insides with the absolute best lighting one would need for a social-media-worthy Cuba post.

Day Trips from Havana #3 – Varadero Cuba is an island, but many who visit are disappointed to learn that the city of Havana doesn’t really have any beaches for lounging. If you want to spend a day getting even more beautifully brown, travel to Varadero. Located about two hours east of Havana by car (three hours by bus), Varadero has endless beaches that meet warm and clear-blue Caribbean waters. It’s also a major resort town, so there are hotels with the typical amenities if you want to get a little fancier than your Casa Particular for a day or two.
